Today I’m softlaunching SBCwiki.com, welcome! My goal is to provide a helpful resource for SBC’s but also Guides. With the news section I want to cover topics in the SBC-space as well as ARM & Servers in general.

The wiki part especially is designed to be open-source so everybody can contribute any obscure or new hardware they maybe know about, fix errors and more.

I spent countless hours hunting down information on for example how to build linux kernel headers, add a certain driver to the kernel, figure out how device-trees work and the list goes on. It wasn’t really beginner friendly.. until now! And it will get better with time.

Something that is currently in the works and soon will be available is the Forum. Many Vendors do have their own forum/discord but especially for archival reasons as well as to have one central place for information and questions that will be another major focus of this website. Information shouldn’t be lost to time or hard to find.

I made this site with Hugo (a static site generator) and basically optimized it as far as I could to reach a broader audience that wants to maybe experiment or just get something working and forget about it. It is for everybody, the kernel developer that wants to read about the latest SoC or the enthusiast HomeLabber that wants to build their own NAS.

And with that Happy Hacking!
